My coding odyssey
For the past couple weeks, I've taken the free massive open online course (MOOC) "Learning How To Learn", co-taught by Dr Oakley & Dr Sejnowski at the University of California, San Diego which provides fascinating and invaluable insight into how the mind stores, processes and retrieves memories and what we can do to become the most effective learners we can be.
Feeling a little burnt out from all the Java coding assignments this semester, I decided to put reading/writing code aside and try my hand at 3d modelling.
Earlier this year, I attended a talk at UNSW given by a recent graduate who now works at Facebook in the US. He had some solid tips and advice to share and I found it to be a great insight into what I'd expect from the interviewing process from one of the most recognised brands in the industry.
